New helmsmen have been appointed to lead some federal government agencies in the country. They include Mr. Silas Agara, National Directorate of Employment, NDE, Mr. Tosin Adeyanju, Lottery Fund and Seun Falaye National Social Insurance Trust Fund NSITF.
A statement issued to the media by Special Adviser to the president on Media Mr. Ajuri Ngelale quoted the president as saying that in a bid to combat mass unemployment in Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has ordered an overhaul and repositioning of the National Directorate of Employment,NDE, for optimal performance in designing and implementing related programmes.
Similarly, the president has approved the appointment of Mr. Tosin Adeyanju as the Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Fund.
The announcement noted that Mr. Agara is an entrepreneur and sports administrator who had served in different capacities including being a Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State and until his new appointment held the position of a federal commissioner at National Population Commission representing Nasarawa State.
Mr. Tosin Adeyanju, a policy expert, until his appointment was engaged in the citizens sector as an advocate for good governance and ordered society. The appointees would bring onto their respective national assignment a tremendous sense of purpose, goodwill, and experience.
