Solomon Lar’s Autobiography And Leadership Institute Launch Postponed

The official launch of the autobiography and the Chief Solomon Daushep Lar leadership institute for democracy and Diplomacy slated for May 24, 2022 has been postponed.

The planning committee announced the postponement in a statement signed by it Chairman, Dr Mike Omeri Agbo OFR.

The statement reads in parts ;

“The Planning Committee for the Launch of the Chief Solomon Daushep Lar Autobiography and the Chief Solomon Daushep Lar Leadership Institute for Democracy and Diplomacy wishes to regretfully announce the postponement of the event which was billed to hold on Tuesday, 24th May, 2022 at the NAF Conference Centre, Jahi, Abuja. This is due to the unforeseen clash in dates and various political party activities.

“On behalf of Amb. Prof. (Mrs.) Mary N Lar and the family, the planning committee wishes to appreciate the guests especially the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria. His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Rtd. General T.Y.Danjuma, Alh. Sule Lamido, State Governors, elder statesmen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, friends and colleagues of the great nationalist both home and abroad who had indicated interest to attend and participate at the event. A new date will be announced and communicated appropriately.”

Recall that Chief Solomon Daushep Lar, was a former member of the Federal Parliament during independence, a governor of Plateau State, a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and it former national chairman who died in October 2013 at the ripe age of 80.
