The inauguration of the National Mandate Group(NMG) Board Of Trustees, BOT last July 12th 2022 in Abuja has finally set the stage for the.
Like the BOT chairman, Amb. Hassan Tukur stated at the event, the NMG plans to cue into the 5 key agenda of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
According Amb. Tukur, the NMG whose aim and objectives are to strengthen all the frontiers in ensuring national development.
The vision of the National Mandate Group is to amplify, reinforce and strengthen the unity and progress of the federal republic of Nigeria, by engaging in the national discourse that will help in deepening internal democracy and good governance through all-inclusive mobilisation and support for the enthronement of good governance at all levels.
Our mission is to provide a credible national platform for the total and comprehensive mobilization of popular support through the aggressive engagement of our citizens that will culminate into a comprehensive action plan towards a national rebirth.
The PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had released his 5 key agenda to include an inclusive government that captures the various interest and demorgraphy of the Nigeria federation, good governance, tackle the ravaging insecurity in the country, create job and encourage economic development as well as secure the citizens and their lives.
To achieve this, the NMG last July 12 inaugurated a six board comprising representative from the six geo political regions along with a national coordinator.
These eminent personalities include Amb. Hassan Tukur Northeast Philly (chairing), Sen Ben Obi Southeast, Ex Gov Attahiru Bafarawa Northwest, Sen Lee Maeba South south, as the National
Coordinator while Chief Omotayo represents the Southwest. Kashim Tumsah, MFR is the National Secretary respectively.
The NMG also has the National Caucus which comprises of all the board members, special nomi ees, all the directors as well as all the thirty six plus the FCT coordinators.
During the inauguration, the board rolled out an interim action frame work.
The NMG which is a political national platform is out to influence national debate on Atiku’s 5 point agenda.
The NMG is committed towards the actualization of the PDP presidential candidate through national visibility at the frontiers of trajectory and good governance leading to the 2023 general election.
Ahead of the PDP’s campaign, the NMG is ahead in terms of advocacies, twonhall meetings, media advocacies through regular topical discurse, seminars and workshops.
The NMG hinges it’s assignment on the ingredients of national unity, good governance and inclusiveness.
