Paramount Ruler of the Tiv Nation, Orcivirigh Prof James Ortese Ayatse has called on the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic Wanune, Benue State, to think out of the box and ensure the institution compete with other world class Polytechnics.
The Tor Tiv who stated this today in his palace in Gboko while receiving the governing council and management team of Federal Polytechnic Wanune disclosed that Polytechnic education is sometimes more impactful than the university due to its concentration on technical and skills acquisition training it gives to students who later become strategic to the society implored the management team to improve on its standards.
Orcivirigh Ayatse assured them of his determination to ensure that the Polytechnic which is situated in a strategic area of his kingdom adding that he will not rest on his oars to mount pressure on all relevant authorities to supply the needed structures and desired personnel for it to grow higher.
Earlier, Chairman Governing Council and Management , Federal Polytechnic, Wanune Chief Mike Msuaan intimated the Begha u Tiv of their recent appointments and the need for them to submit themselves to receive royal blessings and wise counsel from him as a seasoned university administrator.
Chief Msuaan stated further that for the governing council and management team to succeed it is imperative to seek partnership and collaboration with the traditional institution to achieve its desired goals .
In his vote of thanks Dr Ndas Mohammad , the Polytechnic Registrar promised on behalf of the Polytechnic to abide by the Wonderful words of wisdom from the Royal father of the Tiv nation.
