The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Dr. Amos Dangut, Head of the National Office (HNO) of WAEC Nigeria, made the announcement on Monday in Lagos.

He disclosed that approximately 1.9 million candidates from 23,000 secondary schools across Nigeria participated in the examination.

“Today, I am happy to announce to you that all the processes leading to the release of the results have been concluded,” he stated.

While noting that the examination was conducted successfully despite a few challenges, Dr. Dangut revealed that candidates’ overall performance dropped by 33.8% compared to previous years.

He added that candidates can now access their results through multiple electronic platforms provided by the Council.
