Benue: Gov Alia makes changes at Bureau for LG and Chieftaincy Affairs

The Governor of Benue state, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has approved changes at the state Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS), to the Governor, Tersoo Kula, said the Adviser in Charge of the Bureau, Denen Aondoakaa, has been redeployed to the office of the Chief of Staff, Government House while Barr. Ajinge Saar is to return to Ministry of Justice.

The statement said while Derby Amine is to also move back to Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Galu would move back to Accountant General’s office, Shagba Ahura back to Head of Service and Rhoda Aboh back to Head of Service.

Meanwhile, the Governor has also appointed Mr Terna Ayu as the Permanent Secretary at the Bureau of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

Those also deployed to the Bureau include Terkura Dzwungwe as Director of Account and Finance, Sule Liambee as Director of Admin and Supply Esther Osugh to serve as Cashier and Uza Christopher as Director LG services.

In a related development, Mr. Noel Wende has been redeployed from BIPC to the Head of Service.

The statement said the changes are with immediate effect. “Those to takeover at the Bureau are directed to report to their new offices not later than 8am tomorrow, Wednesday September 24, 2025.
