Why I resigned from APC Ex-Information Commissioner Dogo Shammah

Dogo Shammah, A former Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism in Nasarawa State, Dogo Shammah has officially resigned his membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Shammah, a member of Gitta Electoral Ward in Wamba Local Government Area, tendered his resignation in a letter addressed to the ward chairman, effective March 31, 2026.

In the letter, the former commissioner, affiliated with Unit 4 Polling Unit at LGEA Primary School, Mararaba Gongon, expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunity to serve in various capacities during his tenure.

 “I hereby wish to resign my membership of the party with effect from 31st March, 2026,” he said.

He also acknowledged the cordial relationships he enjoyed within the party and extended his appreciation to stakeholders for their support throughout his political journey.

Political analysts view Shammah’s resignation as a significant development in the local political landscape, highlighting ongoing shifts in grassroots allegiances ahead of upcoming political activities.
