The immediate past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has been forced and illegally named Speaker of the 7th Assembly in the State.
Similarly, members representing Nasarawa Eggon East Hon Jacob Kudu was elected Deputy Speaker.
Balarabe Abdullahi was nominated by Hon Muhammed Adamu Omadefu Keana Constituency and seconded by Hon Danladi Jatau of Kokona West.
The Acting Clerk of the House Mr. Ibrahim Musa administered the oath of office.
Meanwhile, it has been a marathon cat and mouse since the early hours of Tuesday when the governor in a decoy postponed the election of the speaker indefinitely only to converge in the ministry for Local Government to perform the illegal act this afternoon
