Buhari and Idriss Deby in closed door talk

President Muhammadu Buhari and Gen. Mahamat Idriss Deby, the President of Chad’s transitional military council, had a closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Gen. Derby who is on a one-day official novel visit to Nigeria, since assumption of office as the Chadian leader after the death of his father in April 19,2021 is aimed at familiarizing with the Nigerian President; Muhammadu Buhari.
They are widespread speculations and expectations that the two African leaders will use the opportunity of their meeting to deliberate on the menace of terrorism and arms proliferation threatening the peace and security of the sub-region.
Nigeria shares a borderline relationship with Chad in the Sahel region.
