Despite the wide condemnation an outcry that trailed the suspension of fiery Islamic preacher, sheikh Nuru Khalid by Nigerians across religious and ethnic lines, the committee set-up by the Apo legislative quarters Mosque has recommended his immediate sack as chief imam of the mosque, TMSnews reports.
TMSnews had reported that the fiery preacher was suspended following a viral sermon he gave at the mosque calling on Nigerians not to vote for anyone who could not protect their lives. In the video which went viral on Friday April 1, the anti government preacher also branded the Muhammadu Buhari led government as failure for failing to secure the people.
Sheikh Khalid was reacting to the recent bombing of a Kaduna bound passenger train by terrorist on Monday March 28.
A committee setup by the mosque had on Friday April 1 suspended Khalid pending when investigations would be concluded and on Monday evening, it recommended his sack as chief imam of the mosque.
