FCT, Plateau under Boko Haram threat – IGP Alerts

Acting inspector-general of police Usman Baba has raised security consciousness in the Federal Capital Territory and Plateau State, alleging imminent attacks by the Boko Haram insurgents.

The police boss circular dated May 19, 2021 and signed by the principal staff officer to the IGP Idowu Owohunwa, put the commissioners of police in the FCT and Plateau on alert on.

He said the intelligence report revealed that terrorists are planning to attack Abuja and Jos.

However, the IGP has assured maximum security to forestall any imminent attack in the two states.
