Five Killed In Lagos Explosion- NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the death of five people at the scene of a gas explosion in Ladipo, Mushin area of Lagos state.   

The Acting Zonal Coordinator, South-West Zonal Office, NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye explained that the scene of the incident is an open space used for several activities including a beer parlour, mechanic workshop, spare parts sale and gas shop amongst others while housing a makeshift structure. IJFIRE1 16NOV21


The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has successfully put out the fire at the scene of the Gas explosions at 21, Ojekunle Street, Ladipo, Mushin Lagos.   

Head of Public Education, Lagos Fire Service, Amodu Shakiru, disclosed that the gas incident which was reported at 08:42 hours Tuesday morning via the State emergency reporting platform was swiftly responded to by a combination of the State first and secondary responders.

He added preliminary investigations to establish the fact of the incident will continue and further discovery will be made public. IJFIRE2 16NOV21
