Respond To The Reasonable Demands Of The Youths – Kaigama Charges FG

Bishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama the Catholic Arch Bishop of Abuja Archdiocese has called on the government to respond to those reasonable demands of the youths.
Bishop Kaigama who made the call during his homily at the Church dedication service at SS Peter and Paul Parish Nyanya noted that using the police to chase them with guns is not the solution. He went further to emphasize that it is not about the youths complaining, that there is actually a problem in the system that needs to be corrected.
He advised that citizens should intensify building patriotic heart towards issues of national concerns, because hatred, bigotry, tribalism, segregation is tearing us apart.
The Revered Cleric called on Nigerians to reduce the overdependence on oil, because one day oil may not be so relevant again, thus economic diversification becomes very necessary. That we should expand our economic horizon, focusing systematically on farming.
Consequently, he condermned the needless hostility between farmers and herders, calling on the government to tackle the situation proactively.
He called on the youths not to be afraid of starting small, because that is the only way to earn them dignity of labour. He advised them not to get angry and spoil things, but to make the best out of this situation, because this is where we have found ourselves.
Finally, he called on Nigerian in the spirit of the democracy day celebration, to imbibe the spirit of love and forgiveness.
“this is my prayers for you, this is my prayers for Nigeria through christ our Lord” Kaigama prayed.
