Suspend Companies Involved In Importation Of Bad Fuel: Reps Tell NNPC

The Nigerian House of representatives on Thursday asked the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited to suspend the companies involved in the importation of methanol-blended petrol.

The green chamber also asked the apex petroleum body to provide the names of the companies to its committee on petroleum for investigation.

The resolution was passed during plenary session on Thursday following the adoption of a motion of urgent public importance sponsored by Mohammed Monguno, representing Marte-Monguno-Nganzai Federal Constituency of Borno State.

He Group managing director of the NNPC, Mele Kyari, had earlier fingered MRS, Oando, Emadeb Consortium, and Duke Oil, a subsidiary of the NNPC, for the importation of methanol-blended petrol.
