The Peoples Democratic Party candidates appear to be trouncing their All Progressives Congress opponents in some early results trickling in from various wards ar the just concluded FCT election.
The PDP won both the chairmanship and councillorship election in Igu and Usuma wards in Bwari Area Council.
The PDP also won in three wards in Kuje council, for which results have been officially announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
The election which held in six councils; Abaji, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Kwali and Abuja Municipal (AMAC) weren’t without challenges as voter apathy, vote buying and technical hitches were reported by TMSnews field correspondents who monitored the exercise.
Over 400 candidates from 14 political parties contested for the chairmanship and councillorship positions.
They are drawn from 14 political parties cleared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to participate in the poll.
