BREAKING: John Gabaya of the PDP Emerges Winner of Bwari Council Poll

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just concluded Area Council election in the federal capital Territory, Honorable John Gabaya has been declared winner of the poll, defeating his All Progressive Congress (APC) opponent Haruna Shekwolo by wider margin.

The Returning Officer for Chairmanship Election in Bwari Professor Amuche Madu declared Mr Gabaya, the incumbent chairman, who polled 13045 to defeat his closest rival Mr Haruna Shekwolo of All Progressives Congress APC who scored 7697.

The election in Bwari area council was violence free even though vote buying was and failure of data capturing devices were reported in some polling units by our correspondents who monitored the election.
