Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau has tasked leaders at all stratas of governance to promote harmonious living as a basis of entrenching development.
The Speaker made the call at the Funeral Mass of the third class traditional ruler of Dari, Mr Joseph Angulu the Sangari Dari at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Mission Dari, Kokona LGA.
Speaker Jatau described the late traditional ruler as a committed person who promote peace while alive.
The Speaker recalled with nostalgia the peaceful disposition of the deceased who contributed in entrenching harmonious living in Kokona Local Government and the State at large.
The Speaker urged Dari chiefdom and the entire Gwandara nation to take solace in God.
He prayed God to forgive the deceased of his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
Jatau used the medium to call on believers to reconcile themselves with God since death is certain.
On his part, Hon. John Mamman, the Commissioner for Education eulogized the classroom teacher turned traditional ruler over his good rulership in the area.
Mamman, who hails from the area said late Joseph Angulu has lived an impactful life, saying his death is a lost to Gwandara nation.
He also prayed God to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
Earlier, Rev. Fr. Augustine Ashigabu, reminded Christians that death is inevitable while calling on leaders and followers to be just and fair in their conducts to obtain God’s favor in the hereafter.
He also urged believers and other Nigerians to live an examplary lives in order to inherit the kingdom of God.
The burial ceremony had in attendance the Paramount Ruler of Tony people, the Abaga Tony among other traditional and community leaders.
It would be reported that the late traditional ruler was born in 1959 and died at the age of 65.
He died on the 13th day of Nov, 2024 leaving behind a wife, four children and 7 grandchildren.
