Nasarawa Speaker hails FULafia VC over projects execution in the institution

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has commended Prof. Shehu Abdul-Rahman, the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia for his outstanding leadership and developmental achievements.

The Speaker gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor in his office in Lafia today.

Speaker Jatau sought for collaboration with the University to promote sound education in the State.

The Speaker emphasized the importance of collaboration between the University’s Management and the Assembly to promote education in the State.

Jatau also congratulated the Vice Chancellor and the University community on the recent presidential approval and conversion of the former Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital to Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital.

He prayed God to continue to give VC and his Management team good health and wisdom in discharging their duties.

Responding, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Shehu Abdul-Rahman appreciated the Speaker for the visit, describing it as a significant development.

He thanked the Speaker and members of the House of Assembly for their support in the process of establishing the Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital.

The Vice Chancellor also appreciated their peace-building efforts in the state.

He further congratulated the Speaker on his emergence as the leader of the 7th Assembly and wished him a successful tenure.
