Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Wednesday joined numerous associates and well-wishers in celebrating his esteemed political appointees on their recognition and conferment with the prestigious title of Fellows of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS).
In a congratulatory message by Gyang Bere,
Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mutfwang lauded the honorees, who were decorated as NMGS Fellows during the International Conference of the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society held at Chida Hotel, Abuja.
The awardees include, Mr. Stephen Pam Gadong, Head of Civil Service, Plateau State, Engr. Apollos S. Samchi, Managing Director, Jos Water Services Corporation, Prof. Stephen J. Mallo, Chairman, MIRENCO, Plateau State and Dr. Raymond Daspan, Head of Department, Geology, University of Jos.
Governor Mutfwang expressed confidence that this prestigious recognition would further motivate and enhance their capacity to continue delivering selfless service and contributing meaningfully to the transformation of Plateau State and Nigeria.
He described the awardees as exceptional geologists and engineers whose strategic foresight and expertise have significantly impacted the economic future of the state. The Governor acknowledged their unwavering commitment to advancing the mining sector, underscoring their dedication to research, innovation, and professional excellence.
Governor Mutfwang also commended their passion for capacity building and mentorship, urging them to remain role models for the younger generation.
He emphasized the need for their continued contributions in fostering a sustainable, legal, and inclusive mining industry that upholds the values of fairness, justice, and environmental responsibility.
On behalf of the government and the peace-loving people of Plateau State, Governor Mutfwang extended his heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Stephen Pam Gadong, Engr. Apollos S. Samchi, Prof. Stephen J. Mallo, and Dr. Raymond Daspan on their well-deserved honor.
