The plateau state governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang Monday, extended heartfelt condolences to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, over the death of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda, who passed away at the age of 83 after a brief illness.

In a condolence message signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Dr Gyang Bere, Governor Mutfwang described the late matriarch as a woman of faith, courage, and enduring virtue whose life was a testimony of service to God and humanity. He noted that Mama Lydia’s life was defined by compassion, wisdom, tolerance, and kindness—qualities she instilled in her children and those around her.

Governor Mutfwang acknowledged the deep sense of loss felt by the Yilwatda family, stressing that Mama Lydia’s death leaves a painful void, particularly at a time when her counsel and prayers were still needed. He, however, urged the family to take solace in her remarkable legacy of faith and service. On behalf of his family, government, and the people of Plateau State, he prayed for God’s comfort, peace, and strength for Prof. Nentawe and the entire family during this period of grief.
