PDP Chieftain, Dr Mike Omeri, has emphasised the importance of voter registration among the youth in Nasarawa State, calling for intensive campaign, education and mobilisation of eligible voters ahead of 2027.

The former NOA DG who spoke in Abuja while fielding questions from journalists, argued that mobilisation of eligible voters was necessary and important to enable the people to stand firm and defend their franchise against any form of evil political theft and manipulation that could deprive them of their legitimate right of choice in 2027.

According to the former NOA Director General, voter registration enables a voter obtain card as the sole instrument that empowers citizens to hold elected officials accountable and influence policy positively in the community for the good of all.

“I want to give personal patriotic advice to the youths who are the energy and strength of the society to be proactive, vigilant and diligent by participating in the ongoing voter registration exercise as a civic duty as every right comes with a responsibility as well”.

Dr Mike Omeri who is a Senatorial Aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party for 2027 in Nasarawa South Senatorial District, encouraged citizens to be focused and be committed to the progress of society from their respective corners and no one should feel belittled by their work, effort and contributions after all, we are all equal before our Maker, the Creator of all Creatures.

Dr Omeri who is determined to redefine the political landscape in the District in particular and Nasarawa in general, tasked the People’s Democratic Party, and other stakeholders in Nasarawa state to go all out and mobilise prospective voters for the INEC-organised voter registration exercise across the state.

While urging all the party stakeholders, supporters to embark on intensive grassroots sensitisation/mobilisationand of eligible voters for registration, as well called for the education of the citizens on the INEC’s CVR

He encouraged the PDP leaders and members to go to the nooks and crannies of the state to ensure that the people are sufficiently sensitised on the registration programme for them to exercise their franchise during the 2027 general elections.

He urged the party members across the state to continue to work together in unity and harmony to take the party to greater heights as well as reclaim the mandate freely given to PDP, by the people

“So, this is an opportunity for us to go back to our constituencies, our wards, our polling units and encourage our people to register so that they will be able to vote during the 2027 general elections,” he restated.

He appreciated the youths for their relentless efforts in propagating the gospel of transforming Nasarawa State and urged them to sustain these efforts in all developmental spaces that they operate from.
