The endowment fund which was announced last Thursday, November 20th, 2025, was designed to ease the financial burden faced by expectant mothers, to reduce maternal and infant mortality as well as improve access to quality maternal healthcare.
Olofu, who spoke during a visit to the hospital emphasized that the wellbeing of women and children forms the backbone of his developmental vision for Benue South adding that the fund would strengthen support for families who often struggle with the cost of essential medical services.
