Hon. Hassan Nalaraba

“True leadership is not found in titles, but in the lives transformed and the legacies built when no one is watching.”

As the political landscape of Nasarawa State shifts toward the 2027 horizon, a new kind of energy is taking root, one that prioritizes tangible impact over mere political rhetoric.

At the heart of this movement is Hon. Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba, a man whose trajectory from a dedicated federal lawmaker to a state wide visionary leader has redefined what it means to serve.

Representing the Awe/Doma/Keana Federal Constituency in the 10th National Assembly, Nalaraba has spent his tenure proving that effective governance is about building bridges, not just walls.

As the Chairman of the House Committee on Aids, Loans, and Debt Management, he has occupied a high-pressure seat that requires the rarest of combinations: fiscal discipline and national strategic thinking.

This “Debt Watchman” role hasn’t just been a title; it has been a training ground, preparing him to manage the complex economic levers of a state like Nasarawa with a precision that ensures long term sustainability.

What truly sets Nalaraba apart as the “Game Changer” is his refusal to be confined by the traditional borders of his constituency.

While many politicians focus their benevolence only where they seek votes, Nalaraba’s vision is state wide.

Nothing illustrated this more clearly than his landmark ₦100 million scholarship scheme, which provided ₦100,000 grants to 1,000 indigent students drawn from every single one of the 13 Local Government Areas in Nasarawa.

By investing in the academic dreams of youths from Karu to Toto and Wamba to Lafia, he sent a clear message: he is not just a representative for three local governments, but a leader for the entire state.

This commitment to education reached another milestone with his instrumental role in facilitating the establishment of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Keana, an institution that stands today as a permanent monument to his belief that knowledge is the ultimate engine of development.

Beyond the classroom and the committee rooms of Abuja, Nalaraba has been a “bulldozer” for infrastructure, ensuring that long neglected projects like the Doma Rafin Gabas road were brought to national attention and action.

His leadership style is characterized by a “vibrant revolution”, a push for youth inclusion and merit-based governance that shuns the divisive politics of the past.

From receiving prestigious traditional titles in Uke to being celebrated as the “Sadaukin Lafia,” the traditional and social institutions of Nasarawa are increasingly validating his status as a Dynamic Engine of Transformation with a youthful heart.

For a state hungry for a leader who can blend legislative experience with a compassionate, grassroots-driven vision, Hon. Hassan Nalaraba isn’t just an aspirant; he is the roadmap to a more inclusive and prosperous Nasarawa.
