“Justice is the constant and perpetual will to allot to every man his due.”

In the unfolding narrative of Nasarawa State’s political evolution, Hon. Bar. Muhammad Abdullahi Hassan, the Magajin Garin Uke, emerges as a figure whose life’s work embodies this timeless legal maxim.

As the state stands at a crossroads, looking toward a future that demands both stability and transformation, the conversation increasingly turns toward leaders who possess the rare combination of grassroots empathy and high level technocratic skill.

The Magajin Garin Uke is not a newcomer to the aspirations of the Nasarawa people; rather, he is a seasoned architect of governance whose fingerprints are found on some of the state’s most enduring administrative structures.

His journey began at the very heartbeat of democracy, the local government. Serving as the Chairman of Karu LGA, he mastered the art of managing complex human interests in one of the most diverse and rapidly growing corridors of the state.

This foundation in local administration ensured that even as he ascended to the pinnacle of state and federal service, he never lost sight of the “common man.”

His subsequent roles as Attorney General and later as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) showcased a legal mind dedicated to the rule of law and an administrator capable of harmonizing the machinery of the executive branch.

When the call to national service came, Muhammad Abdullahi Hassan transitioned seamlessly into the federal cabinet, first as Minister of State for Science and Technology and then as the Minister of Environment.

In these roles, he represented Nasarawa with distinction, proving that a son of the soil could navigate the complexities of national policy while championing sustainable development and technological advancement.

This federal exposure has equipped him with a vast network and a modern perspective on governance that is essential for a state seeking to position itself as a hub for investment and innovation.

What truly distinguishes the Magajin Garin Uke in the current gubernatorial conversation is his reputation as a bridge builder.

In a political climate often fragmented by sectional interests, he stands as a unifying figure who commands respect across Nasarawa’s three senatorial zones.

His candidacy is not built on the shifting sands of political rhetoric, but on a concrete legacy of integrity and cross cultural appeal.

As a prince of the Uke Chiefdom, he carries the dignity of tradition, yet as a legal luminary and former minister, he speaks the language of the future.

He represents a promise of inclusive leadership, one where every citizen, regardless of tribe or creed, is given their due in the collective prosperity of a greater Nasarawa State.
