There are strong indications that former Nasarawa State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Ninga, may emerge as the running mate to the Labour Party governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Jonathan Gaza, ahead of the 2027 elections.

Sources suggest that the nomination, if confirmed, would be widely commended as a “perfect choice,” combining experience, resilience, and dedication to move the state forward.

An insider described the move as a major step toward inclusive governance, while political analysts said it reflects Gaza’s commitment to unity, fairness, justice, and equal opportunity.

Ninga, regarded as an accomplished politician and institution builder, is praised for his transformational leadership and track record of peace, integrity, and humility.

“Beyond Adamu’s record of peace, acceptability and confidence, his new position as running mate will harmonize the bond of unity amongst the ethnic groups in Nasarawa,” one analyst noted.

Observers believe the Gaza–Ninga ticket could strengthen unity and reassure diverse communities of representation. Analysts also urged residents to set aside religious, ethnic, and geographic divisions, framing the ticket as a collective step toward a secure and prosperous future.

Residents reaffirmed their support for the Labour Party’s vision of building a Nasarawa State where no community feels alienated and no citizen is left behind, while calling for a peaceful campaign process across political parties.
