Future Planters Africa to host Bootcamp 2026 in Nasarawa

Future Planters Africa, a youth-focused development and innovation ecosystem committed to preparing young Africans to become purposeful leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, creators and community builders, is set to host the Future Planters Bootcamp 2026 with the theme “Planting Ideas. Growing Futures” from August 17 to 23 in Akwanga, Nasarawa State.

Founded on the philosophy “Plant minds. Build skills. Create impact,” Future Planters Africa operates on three foundational principles: character before competence, vision before ambition, and institutions before personalities.

The 2026 edition will bring together approximately 200 young participants for an immersive experience combining leadership development, entrepreneurship, innovation, artificial intelligence, digital skills, agribusiness, financial literacy, creativity and civic leadership.

Unlike conventional classroom training, the Bootcamp is structured as an experience-driven learning environment where participants learn, compete, collaborate, create and solve problems.

Participants will be exposed to facilitators, mentors, entrepreneurs, innovators, public-sector leaders, creative professionals and other practitioners across eight major learning tracks.

These include leadership and personal development, innovation and design thinking, entrepreneurship and enterprise, artificial intelligence and digital skills, agribusiness and sustainable development, financial literacy and wealth creation, creativity, communication and storytelling, as well as civic leadership and community transformation.

According to the founder of Future Planters Africa, Kefas Tigga, “We are not simply bringing young people together for another conference. We are creating an environment where they can discover themselves, acquire practical skills, build relationships, develop ideas and begin to see themselves as creators of Africa’s future.

“Since its emergence, the Future Planters platform has developed programmes and initiatives designed to connect young people with knowledge, mentors, opportunities, technology and one another.

“Its programmes include the Future Planters Bootcamp, Future Planters Academy, Future Planters Creative Studio, Future Planters Network, Future Planters Leadership initiatives, Seeds of Change and other youth-focused community development programmes.

The organisation’s broader vision is to build an ecosystem in which young Africans can acquire the mindset, skills, networks and practical experience required to create value and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the continent.
