The convener of the #RevolutionNow and activist, Omoyele Sowore has stated that with the conditions experienced so far, Nnamdi Kanu can never get a fair trial, noting that there is no indication that the federal government is ready to grant him a fair trial.
Sowore who stated this in an exclusive interview with TMS Correspondent, urged that we have a duty now to call for Nnamdi Kanu’s total and unconditional freedom, because there is nothing to suggest that the federal government can organize a fair trial.
“I have been through this, and I’m still through it, the system does not guarantee any free and fair trial, everyone listening to us should understand not to call for any trial at this point, but to call for his release because he hasn’t committed any offense by asking for self determination” Sowore explained.
Sowore who was arrested today Monday alongside others by the police today while trying to gain access to the court for Kanu’s trial at the federal high court in Abuja, stated that they only came to support and ensure that he gets a fair trial, but with all these arrests and hijacking of the court, he is very sure that Kanu can never get a fair trial from this regime.
