I Remain A Loyal Member Of The PDP — Dr. Mike Omeri

My attention has been drawn to reports circulating on some social media platforms and broadcast stations linking my person, Dr. Mike Omeri, to a purported political faction within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State.

Ordinarily, I would not have deemed it necessary to respond to such reports, especially at a time when I am mourning the painful loss of my beloved sister, Asibi Omeri. However, in order to prevent the spread of misinformation and to set the record straight, I find it necessary to address the issue.

I wish to categorically state that I remain a committed and bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party and that, to the best of my knowledge, there is no faction within the PDP. Any attempt to associate me with any alleged faction of the party is misleading, and should be disregarded by members of the public.

The PDP remains one united political family in Nasarawa State, and I have continued to conduct myself in accordance with the ideals, principles, and constitution of the party. My loyalty to the PDP is unwavering, and I remain fully committed to working with all stakeholders towards strengthening the party and advancing its objectives in Nasarawa State and beyond.

As we prepare for future electoral engagements, my focus remains on serving the people, contributing to the growth of our democracy, and supporting efforts aimed at delivering good governance and sustainable development to the people of my constituency and by extention, Nasarawa State.

I therefore urge party members, supporters, and the general public to disregard any report suggesting that I belong to or support any faction within the PDP. Such narratives are in control of inconsistent with my political beliefs and strategy. Besides, I am guided by the fact that political campaigns have not been authorized yet therefore, it is unnecessary to create division and confusion where none should exist in the first place.

I remain a loyal party member and will continue to support all legitimate efforts geared towards the unity, progress, and success of the Peoples Democratic Party.
