Lar Leads Campaign to free Detained Lady in Dubai

Hon. Beni Lar in company of the leadership of Ngwang Ishi Otarok Development Association and Timsur club on Monday 24th October 2022 paid a visit to the Ministry of foreign affairs to discuss possible diplomatic means of securing the release of Miss Dinchi Lar who was arrested, detained and later sentenced to 1 year imprisonment by the United Arab Emirate Government.

Hon. Beni Lar who pleaded for clemency said she was approached by Miss Dinchi Lar’s father who was distressed along with other members of the family to plead with the Nigerian authorities to help secure the release of his daughter through every diplomatic means possible.

Responding, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Zubairu Dada assured the delegation that the Ministry will discuss with the U.A.E Ambassador on possible diplomatic means of resolving the issue.

The meeting later went into a closed door session.
