NO Corps Member Is Being Mobilized For War – NYSC

The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have taken to the public stage to say that no corps member is being mobilized for war.

This was a timely move to refute the misrepresentation of the NYSC Director- General Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim’s recent interview with the media currently trending on the social media, claiming that youth corps members will be mobilize for war.

The Director – General had simply without ambiguity stated that in line with the National Defense Policy, Corps Members are like soldiers on reserve, because their education, exposure and sophistication, can make them easily adaptable to military training.

He charged them to remain focused and patriotic; and for the spirit of NYSC to live in all Nigerians.

“Brig Gen Ibrahim never at any point said that Corps Members are being mobilized to fight war”, the statement read.

They went ahead to reinstate their continued strive to always safeguard the interest of Corps Members.
