RE: INEC Releases Access Codes to Political Parties. 

Further to the preparations for the 2027 general electoral and barring any unforeseen, the Independent National Electoral Commission is on June 26, 2026, set to deliver the codes to enable political parties to upload the details of their nominees for 2027 election via its nomination portal.

 A summary of the details obtained by TMSnews from sister news platform Delight News Indicate as follows:

(2).● Friday, June 26, 2026:

Access code collection begins. Parties pick up codes at INEC HQ in Abuja for the nomination portal.

(3). Saturday, June 27, 2026, 9:00AM → Saturday, July 11, 2026, 6:00PM:

The portal opens for Presidential and National Assembly filings. Parties upload Forms EC9 and EC9A-E online.

(4). Saturday, July 18, 2026, 9:00AM → Saturday, August 8, 2026, 6:00PM:

Portal opens for Governorship and State Assembly. Parties upload candidate details.

(5). Monday, August 15, 2026:

INEC releases the final list of Presidential and NASS candidates.

(6). Monday, August 25, 2026:

Deadline for withdrawal or replacement of Presidential and NASS candidates.

(7). Saturday, August 29, 2026:

Final deadline for parties to submit hard copies of EC13A-E forms for Presidential and NASS to INEC.

(8). Wednesday, September 23, 2026:

Campaigns for the Presidential and National Assembly elections commence. Rallies, ads, and billboards are permitted.

Final date for parties to submit EC13 forms

INEC publishes the final list of Governorship and State Assembly candidates.

Last day to withdraw or replace Gov and State Assembly candidates.

Campaign season for the Governorship and the State Assembly begins.

(13). Friday, January 15, 2027, 12:00 midnight:

Campaigns for the Presidential and NASS elections end. No rallies or ads allowed afterwards.

Election Day for the Presidential and National Assembly.

(15). Thursday, February 4, 2027, 12:00 midnight:

Campaigns for Gov and State Assembly conclude.
