Ahead of the Area council elections slated to hold on Saturday, February 12 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has began distribution of kits to eligible Media outfits in the FCT.
The kits which would be used by the media outfits to cover the elections are part of the preparation for the Saturday polls.
Eligible Media outfits who applied for nominations to cover the elections via the INEC IMAP portal were shortlisted last week by the commission.
The distribution of the kit which started on Wednesday morning is billed to continue to Friday and Media outfits that were shortlisted are encouraged to pick up their kits at the INEC office situated on number 10 Baltyre street, Wuse 2 Abuja.
Recall that the commission had on February 1st cleared 475 candidates across different political parties for the council elections.
