AIG Ari Mohammed now DIG as DIG Ade Ayuba retires

The Police Service Commission has appointed AIG Ari Mohammed Ali as DIG Ade Ayuba retires

 

The appointment followed the retirement of DIG Ade Ayuba. The appointment was announced during an emergency management meeting of the commission Tuesday November 19, 2024.

 

The announcement was contained in a press statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani, Head, Press and Public Relations.

 

AIG Ali, who hails from Nasarawa State in the North Central region, previously served as the AIG in charge of Zone One, Kano. He assumes his duty as new DIG to represent the same region as his predecessor, DIG Ayuba.

 

PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), emphasized the importance of professionalism and a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption under Ali’s leadership.

 

He reiterated that the Commission is committed to supporting the Nigerian Police Force in its mission to protect lives, property, and ensure accountability.

 

According to DIG Argungu Rtd “We are building a new Police Force that will be a source of pride for Nigerian free of corruption, but full of vigor and determination to serve.”

 

He expressed confidence that the new DIG Ari Mohammed would align with the Commission’s vision of a reformed and accountable Police Force.

 

In their remarks, DIG Taiwo Lakanu (rtd) and Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, PSC Commissioner and Secretary, respectively, also extended their congratulations to the newly appointed DIG and assured him of the Commission’s full support in his new position.
