The Conference of APC publicity Secretaries (CAPs), an umbrella body of the APC spokespersons has condemned in its entirety the unwarranted attacks on the President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu by those they described as anti democratic forces hell bent on grabbing power at all cost.
CAPs in a statement signed and made available to Journalists by its National Chairman, High Chief Otaru Douglas recalled with disdain the character personae of the political gangsters masquerading as agents of change and good governance.
“We in CAPs have been left puzzling if at all Nasir El-Rufai and his cohorts are men of good conscience in Nigeria. These forces in their macabre dance, shamelessly gathered recently lamenting on the state of the nation at the National Conference organized on strengthening democracy in Nigeria by the African Centre for Leadership Strategy and Development criticizing the policies and programmes of the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Such gathering ordinarily should have been a patriotic move or an avenue for constructive and corrective criticism of the president and the APC led administration, rather it became a destructive theatre of incitement of public peace and political debauchery”.
“It is unfortunate that speakers at the forum under the guise of condemning the policies and programmes of the current administration, took turns to ignorantly recount their misdemeanor and dismal failures to do the right thing while they had stints at various levels of governance.
“To set the record straight where there is political sanity, the corrupt duos of the Kaduna and Rivers State governor’s who were both Ministers at different times should not be mentioned in any sentence related to good governance while still carrying heavy burden of corrupt records on their necks”
According to the statement, “El-and Amaechi were seen at the forum pontificating as though they were not architects of the current woes bedeviling the nation.
“While we do not have issues with any move by any individual or groups aimed at addressing the obvious challenges facing the nation, we will not tolerate such unholy alliance of power mongering liars and propaganda machinery trying to plunge the nation into anarchy all in the name of wrestling power ahead of the 2027 election which only God can determine”.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the APC is not threatened by the dangerous antics of the opposition forces who are bent on thwarting the efforts of Mr President in overcoming the socio economic doldrums. where caution is thrown to the winds with probable cause and reasonable suspicion to incite public peace and order.
“Like Amaechi We will not hesitate to tame such double standard liars using legitimate Tools”, Caps National Chairman declared
