Benue APC Hails Wombo over support for Gov Alia, Tinubu’s 2027 reelection bid

The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Benue State Chapter, Chief Benjamin Omale, has lauded the lawmaker representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Prince Solomon Wombo, for his unwavering support for the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia and President Bola Tinubu and their reelection bid.

Omale who stated this while speaking with newsmen in Makurdi on Friday, said Alia’s leadership is redefining development and good governance in Benue State.

He acknowledged Wombo’s support toward the re-election of both Governor Alia and President Tinubu in 2027 and emphasized the need for continuous support to enable them consolidate on their developmental strides.

Omale, who paide a courtesy visit to Hon. Wombo at the National Assembly, encouraged the Benue political class to rally behind President Tinubu’s reform-driven administration, which has significantly improved revenue generation for states across the country.

He also applauded Governor Alia for his visible legacy projects in infrastructure and service delivery across Benue State.

After the visit, Chief Omale told newsmen that Hon. Solomon Wombo has demonstrated exceptional leadership and quality representation within two and a half years in the House of Representatives since his election in 2023.

He particularly lauded the lawmaker’s consistent support for Governor Alia’s administration in advancing social and economic development across Benue State.

The APC Chairman further praised Governor Hyacinth Alia for his tireless efforts in repositioning the state through infrastructural renewal including the construction of key roads, flood and erosion control projects, improved transportation and haulage systems, enhanced healthcare delivery, new storey-building classroom blocks, and the prompt payment of salaries and pensions.

According to Chief Omale, “these achievements have been made possible through the transformational policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose administration is complementing Benue’s development with major federal projects such as the state’s first flyover at the Wurukum axis, the over 500-kilometer Phase Two of the Makurdi–Ninth Mile dualization, and other intervention programs made feasible by increased federal revenue allocation.

Omale explained that his visit to the National Assembly was primarily to appreciate Hon. Solomon Wombo for his continued contributions to the development of the Sankera axis, particularly in improving security, governance, and service delivery.

While expressing gratitude to Hon. Wombo for his loyalty and support to the APC leadership and the administration of Rev. Hyacinth Alia, Chief Omale described the federal lawmaker as “a man of integrity, full of wisdom, and guided by God.”

He urged him to remain focused and undistracted in his commitment to the success of the party and the progress of Benue State.

He said “Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, I am confident that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Hyacinth Alia, and Rt. Hon. Solomon Wombo would be re-elected due to their proven performance, goodwill, and dedication to service.” He further stated that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu will serve as a major catalyst for the APC’s continued electoral success.

Responding, Hon. Solomon Wombo expressed delight over the chairman’s visit and appreciation and reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC leadership.

Wombo pledged to continue supporting Chief Omale’s administration to ensure the party’s success. He also promised to intensify mobilization efforts toward the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia, so they can continue their good work in improving the lives of Nigerians.
