APC Primaries: Nasarawa Speaker solicits votes for Reps, drums support for Tinubu, Wadada

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly and an All Progressives Congress APC aspirant for House of Representatives for Karu/ Keffi/Kokona Federal constituency Dr. Danladi Jatau, has solicited votes from stakeholders and registered members of the party to enable him to win the party primary slated for Friday, May 15, 2026.

The Speaker made the appeal while addressing party stakeholders, supporters, LG and ward officials of Karu, Keffi and Kokona LGAs during town hall meetings in their respective LGAs today, Wednesday.

Dr. Jatau said that he is prepared and qualified to represent them at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.

The Speaker said he has served in various capacities in government while promising quality and sound representation, if given the mandate.

According to him, I want to appeal to you to come out en mass and vote for me on this coming Friday, 15th May, 2026 to enable me win my primary election.

“With what I have seen, your love and support for me, I will win my primary election come this Friday, 15th May, 2026,” he said.

Dr. Jatau said that he is into the race to add value to humanity and bring speedy development to the federal constituency.

“People have called on me to contest and I have answered their calls and by God’s grace, I will represent you well, if voted.

Jatau, took his time to outlined his achievements as a member and Speaker of the House to include employments, empowerments, education, health, agriculture, water, infrastructure among others.

“I have done well for my people as a member and Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.

“I have stabilised the activities of the State Assembly and unite the House as well as given the Executive arm the needed support, cooperation and synergy to succeed.

The Speaker appreciated stakeholders, party officials and members of the party for the continued support he is enjoying from them and called for its sustenance.

He appealed to the people of the federal constituency not to insult or revenge against any politician that insulted him.

“Please I want to appeal to you not to revenge by insulting any politician that insulted me.

“Let’s continue to remain focused and play the game by its rules in the interest of peace” he said.

Jatau also called on the people of the Federal constituency to support President Bola Tinubu and Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s Preferred successor, Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada to succeed in 2027.

“Please, let’s all support His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu and Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s preferred successor, Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada to succeed in 2027.

” I want APC to win the 2027 general elections” he said.

The Speaker commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his developmental strides in the state.

Besides, the Speaker distributed 32 motorcycles to Ward chairmen of Karu, Keffi and Kokona LGAs to boost party activities in the federal constituency.

On their parts, Hon. Jacob Terry Bado, Mr Muhammad Awwal Idirs, Mutari Samson, APC Chairmen of Kokona, Keffi and Karu LGAs respectively appreciated the Speaker for his purposeful leadership in the state legislature.

They said that the Speaker has stabilised the activities of the House and will be a good national legislator.

They urged the people to pray and support Jatau in his House of Representatives ambition.

They also prayed and wished the Speaker well.

It would be reported that Speaker Jatau has received over 100 SDP members into APC.

Mr Yamusa Ishaya Audu, Nasarawa West SDP Zonal Secretary and Leader of the defectors said that they defected to APC due to Speaker Jatau good leadership and Gov. Sule’s giant developmental strides in the state.

Earlier, the Speaker paid a traditional homage on Abaga Toni, HRH, Lawrence Sylvester Ayih, represented by the District Head of Garaku, Mr Martins Noel, Emir of Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa and Esu Karu, Pharm. Luka Payan Baba, represented by the District Head of Karu, Mr

Danladi Keshi to seek for their royal blessings and support .

They first class traditional rulers have prayed, blessed and wished Jatau well in his ambition.

It would be further reported that the Emir of Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa during the visit conferred Speaker Jatau with traditional title of Ganuwa Karamin Keffi.

The Speaker also hold town hall meetings in the three LGAs visited.
