The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Benue South Senatorial District, Dr David Olofu, has said the party will promote equity, fairness and justice in the distribution of political opportunities across Benue State.

Olofu stated this while urging the people of Benue South to support the ADC governorship candidate, Herman Hembe, and his running mate, John Abba, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

He said the party was committed to ensuring that political leadership in the state reflected fairness and inclusiveness, stressing that a governor from Benue South would be expected to govern the entire state.

According to him, “Our party, the ADC, is a party of equity, fairness and justice. And that is what we are bringing to Benue.”

He said the party’s governorship candidate had already made it clear that after the next four years, the people of Benue South would be given consideration in the political arrangement of the state.

According to him, “It will not be a Benue South governor; it will be a Benue State governor, to be a Benue State government from Benue South. That is our expectation, and by the grace of God, that is the policy that this party will pursue and implement,” Olofu said.

He therefore called on the people of Benue South to support the Hembe/John ticket, saying their victory would help advance the aspiration for an Idoma governor in the state.

Olofu also described the National Chairman of the ADC as “our leader and son,” urging the people of the area to rally behind him and work for the success of the party.

“We must, as a matter of necessity, queue behind him, work tirelessly for ADC and ensure that our governorship candidate, Herman Hembe, becomes the governor of this state come 2027.

“That is what we are prepared to do, and that is what we are going to do,” he added.
