A bridge has collapsed at Kadan Maiwa, Bauchi State, leaving two women missing.
The two women were said to be travelling in a vehicle when the bridge collapsed along the ever-busy Bauchi-Ningi-Kano expressway.
However, other passengers in the car survived as they were rescued alive.
Rescue efforts are still ongoing at the scene.
At the moment many vehicles and hundreds of passengers are stranded as there is no entry into Ningi LGA, to Jigawa and Kano State from Bauchi and vice versa.
The collapsed bridge provided a link between Bauchi metropolis and Ningi Local Government Area of the state, also Jigawa and Kano states.
