JUST IN: EFCC After Kwankwaso, Confiscates Property

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has placed the former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, under investigation. A property situated in Kano State belonging to the 2015 Presidential aspirant  has been sealed off by the anti-craft Commission.

This development came as result of a petition by one Barrister Mustapha Danjuma alleging that Kwankwaso received contribution of N70 million from each of 44 local government councils in Kano State.

The petition, revealed that the amount from the 44 local government councils totaled N3.08 billion, which the petitioner claim was channeled towards his (Kwankwaso) presidential primary in 2015.

Kwankwaso served as the Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District between 2011 and 2015.
