BREAKING: Maina, Former Pensions Boss Bags 8 Years Jail Term

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday sentenced Abdulrasheed Maina, former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team to 8 years imprisonment.

Justice Okon Abang handed Maina the jail sentence, in a ruling.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), had arraigned Maina and his son, Faisal, on charges bordering on operating fictitious bank accounts, corruption and money laundering, to the tune of N2 billion.

His firm, Common Input Property and Investment Limited, also standing trial, was found guilty by the court.
