With less than one hundred days into the 2023 general elections, the Crisis in the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC in Nasarawa state has declined any known political solution.

Instead, principal actors have resolved to shut down the broom for irreconcilable interests.

Strong financier of the APC in the southern zone, Alhaji Abuh Giza has unveiled plans to retire the former Governor and the current senator representing Nasarawa South at the Senate, Alhaji Tanko Almakura and the House of Representatives representing Doma, Keana/ Awe, Hon. Hassan Nalaraba from politics.

A Tuesday midnight reconciliation meeting involving Gov Abdullahi Alhaji Sule, APC leadership and aggrieved party members in the state failed to yield positive results inspite financial inducement.

Each state lawmaker, correspondent gathered, was offered #5m while party Exco 2.5m each to mobilize for the Governorship campaign flag off.

The agrieved members of the party who are now wagging external war against their former platform have all rejected an out of court settlement.

Already the likes of Sen. Akwashiki, Sen. John Danboyi, ex Deputy Governor Siras Agara, Hon. Aliyu Wadada, Hon Dr Joseph Haruna Kigbu, Hon. Jonathan Ghaza, Hon Adamu Muazu Adogi, Hon Tanko Tunga, Hon Moluku Agah among others are at the daga heads with the party.

All the agrieved hinted on the doctored delegates lists handed over APC favoured ‘boys’ by the new national Chairman, ex Gov Abdullahi Adamu.

One of the cases is the one involving Barr Labaran Magaji v Shehu Tukur in the Keffi zone.

A High Court has ordered a rerun primary between the two within 14 days.

The APC has undermine the court order by declining judicial directive.

In Obi LGA for instance, strong members of the APC who were still bickered over the choice of the Almakuras( father for Senate, son for the House of Representatives), a former Commissioner who assume the position of a godfather of the APC in the area, had also pocketed the NSHA ticket to a girlfriend from his ethnic group.

A source link to Dr Joseph Kigbu stated, “we are no longer save under our new party because of this primary election in the state.

“Since after the primary election, we are faced with itimidatations and our supporters are chased with guns”, the source added.

When contacted on the phone, the APC National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Felix Morka, described the allegation as “nonsensical,” saying that allegations were aimed at tarnishing the image of the party as election gets closer.

“I have no idea of how the delegates lists of Nasarawa State were tempered with,” he added.

A leading social media platform in the state, Nasarawa mirror has also reported that ‘Fresh Crisis Looms In APC As Youths Threatens Mass Exodus Over Corrupt, Nepotic’.

The leaders of the Youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State have threatened mass exit over alleged marginalization in the distribution of benefits among others by its leader, Malam Abdullahi Masi.

This is coming barely few days after the maiden APC Progressive Young Leaders Summit in Abuja.

Masi was accused of diverting and sidelining youths from other parts of the state in the sharing of the ₦5 million released by the state government as logistics for the just-concluded summit.

Delegates who attended the summit from Keffi zone alleged that they were sidelined in the sharing of the largesse and accused the youth leader who is from Lafia zone of nepotism and corruption.

They made this known in a statement on Wednesday, describing the youth leader as agent of disunity.

The statement signed by Kana Muhammad Ebini, lamented that “Governor Sule is doing all he can to keep the party united and progressive, but the likes of Hon. Masi are sabotaging his efforts”.

Ebini warns that “if this isn’t addressed, they will be left with no other choice than to leave the party.”

“We wonder whether Nasarawa West is not part of the State that the APC Youth Leader is marginalising our constituency on Youth activities. Our destiny is not tie to this Party and if the necessary things are not done we will find our square root.

“If Hon. Masi is against this reality, let him publish the names of Youths he mobilized from the various zones of the State, with evidence of their feedings and accommodation out of the five million (5,000,000.00) naira disbursed to him by Govenor Sule.

“Most of the Youths from Nasarawa State that attended the Summit sponsored their bills for transport, feedings and accommodations from their pockets, while the State APC Youth Leader diverted the millions of Naira allocated to him for that purpose. Some Youths from Nasarawa State could not even stay for the second day of the Summit because they were stranded and had no accommodation to sleep. This is selfishness and injustice from the side of Hon. Abdullahi Masi, the APC Youth Leader of the State.

“Hon. Masi should know that the office he is occupying is not for him to enrich himself and service the Youths from his zone, and if he did not watch his steps we will teach him a great lesson and it will not be well with APC in Nasarawa State, most especially Nasarawa West.”

Efforts to reach the APC youth leader for comment over the allegation proved abortive at press time.
