The campaign council of the former Inspector General of Police, Rtd Mohammed Abubakar Adamu have vowed not to allowed trivial sentiment distract the ambition of the IGP by the outburst of the APC State Chairman, Aliyu Bello.

The campaign council, in a statement by the media Consultant to the IGP Adamu, High Chief Otaru Douglas, made available to Journalists in Abuja on Monday, said while reacting to a statement credited to the state ruling APC Chairman, Aliyu Bello, that Mohammed Adamu was in the race to salvage the state from the shackles of economic and political vultures ravaging the state.

” We read with mixed feelings the most unfortunate and reckless outburst by Dr. Aliyu Bello, the APC Chairman in Nasarawa State, in which he disparaged the person and ambition of former Inspector General of Police, Rtd. IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, at an event in Doma Local Government Council.

“It is both laughable and tragic that a man who is ripping off and feasting on state resources still has the audacity to question the pedigree of the ex-IGP.

“Such loquacious expressions of hate, desperation, and an inordinate craving to impose his childhood friend as the next governor in order to continue latching onto the state’s resources have not emboldened him to abuse anyone he considers an opponent. This must be resisted”, the statement declared.

The statement further added that those parading themselves as leaders of the ruling All Progressive Congress in Nasarawa especially the state party chairman be aware that the ambition of the former IGP is not a child play or an effort in futility as claimed by the APC Chairman, Aliyu Bello.

“Let it be known to Dr. Aliyu Bello that the ambition of IGP Adamu is not a child’s play or an “effort in futility,” as he claimed in his gutter-statement. His ambition is driven by genuine passion, patriotism, and a commitment to liberate the people of Nasarawa State from economic and political vultures who have made it their business to partition the state for hegemonic domination.

“Dr. Bello’s statement reeks of desperation and megalomania. Nasarawa people are not blind. They know those who are hell-bent on sharing state resources, and they also know those who have consistently identified with the pains of the common man.

“The ex-IGP did not “descend from nowhere.” He is an illustrious son of Nasarawa whose record of service, discipline, and integrity speaks volumes for him across the 36 states and beyond. You cannot insult a man the people have already embraced”, the statement warned.

According to the statement, the people of Nasarawa State are determined to vote for a leader with compassion, capacity, and character, not garrulous politicians suffering from mental disorders and an entitlement syndrome Come 2027,

“We therefore , advise Dr. Bello to allow the ex-IGP and his supporters to rest, having left the APC for him. He should focus his energy on fixing the internal crisis in his party instead of attacking leaders who enjoy the goodwill of the masses”, the statement urged.

“The era of imposing stooges and recycling failed politicians is over. The people have made up their minds”, it declared.
