The Chieftain of the People’s Democratic party (PDP), Engr Anselm Ijebor has urged Nigerians to support the party Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2027 general elections, describing the the presidential candidate and the party as a credible alternative capable of providing effective leadership for the country.

Speaking to Journalists on Sunday in Abuja, Ijebor said the NDC is made up of experienced and tested politicians with proven records of public service and integrity.

According to the construction and building Engineer, Nigerians should place their trust in the party because of the pedigree and consistency of its leaders, whom he described as individuals committed to national cohesion, unity , team work and development.

” NDC will offer a credible platform to rescue Nigeria from its current challenges and deliver responsible governance flagged the party’s leading figures, including Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Senator Seriake Dickson who have distinguished themselves through years of public service”.

While emphasizing that the party’s flag bearer have verifiable credentials and track records, unlike politicians whose backgrounds, he claimed, remain questionable, Engr Ijebor, maintained that the NDC is built on principles of accountability, consistency and service to the people, adding that its leaders have continued to stand by their convictions despite political challenges.

The PDP Chieftain , who however regretted the deepening crisis that has led to the near collapse of PDP, urged Nigerians to consider the NDC as a viable alternative ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the party has the capacity to provide the leadership needed to move the country forward.

Meanwhile, Engr. Anselm Ijebor has described Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North senatorial district, as a courageous politician who feels for Nigerians.

Reacting to Oshiomhole’s criticism of Works Minister Dave Umahi, Ijebor said the senator’s response to the minister’s proposed new roads construction demonstrated statesmanship and a commitment to the country’s interest.

Oshiomhole had argued that the minister “needs to be guided” for approving 20 new road projects while older critical highways remain in deplorable condition, pointing out that key transit corridors such as routes from Benin to Warri, Asaba, Auchi, and Okene had become impassable death traps.

Engr Ijebor who accused Umahi for giving priority to the construction of new roads at the expense of many existing federal highways across the country noted that it’s was a representation of interest for the Minister to conceptualize construction of new roads while others remain in a poor and dangerous condition.

According to him, Nigerians should remain hopeful because there would be a change where all the nation’s current predicaments would be addressed

He said the presidential candidate of the NDC would not doubt restore the confidence from the Nigerian people, describing the Obi- Kwankwaso joint ticket ahead of 2027 as a lead way to addressing the mess confronting the country

According to the PDP Chieftain, “what the country required now is having leaders who can deliver the dividends of democracy to the people irrespective of their faith, tribe, or political affiliation”, arguing that religion, ethnicity were not enshrined in the nation’s constitution forbidden Muslim -Muslim or Christian – ticket in nigeria.
