“The future is not just a destination; it is a ledger where today’s integrity becomes tomorrow’s prosperity.”

As Nasarawa State stands at a political crossroads, the search for a leader who can balance legacy with innovation has led many back to one name: Rt. Hon. Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed, the Baraden Nasarawa (Fatan Alheri)

His official entry into the 2027 governorship race on March 31, 2026, was more than a resignation from the office of the Accountant General; it was the formal start of a mission to safeguard the state’s developmental gains.

Dr. Musa’s deep understanding of the state’s soul was first forged in the halls of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, where he served as a two-term Speaker between 2007 and 2015.

In those eight years, he navigated one of the most stable legislative era in the state’s history, mastering the rare ability to build consensus among diverse interests without compromising the progress of the executive.

This legislative veteran knows precisely how to move a vision from a policy draft to a life changing reality for the people.

When he transitioned to the role of Accountant General, Dr. Musa brought that same deliberate precision to the state’s treasury, transforming Nasarawa’s fiscal landscape for a digital age.

His tenure was defined by transformative reforms, including the seamless automation of payroll systems to block leakages and the implementation of the ₦545.18 billion “Budget of Strategic Consolidation” for 2026.

This technical stewardship ensured that transparency became the bedrock of the state’s financial pulse. Yet, beyond the spreadsheets and statutes, he has remained a “man of the people,” recently supporting youth empowerment programs and humanitarian outreaches that prove his heart remains with the grassroots.

Dr. Musa is more than an aspirant; he is an intellectual ally to the current administration who deeply understands the mechanics of the Governor’s industrialisation plan.

Having authored the book Engr. A. A. Sule: From Vision to Reality, he has already demonstrated that he is the primary guardian of the current administration’s “Nasarawa First” philosophy.

For the people of Nasarawa, the choice in 2027 is becoming clear: it is a choice between political experiments and a “Safe Pair of Hands.”

In the Baraden Nasarawa, the state finds a leader with the Speaker’s gavel to unite the present and the fiscal precision and wisdom to build a future that is already being calculated today.
