2027: Lafia residents declare support for Ex- NOA DG, Mike Omeri

Ahead of 2027 Senatorial election, residents of Lafia, especially the youths have declared their unalloyed support for the senatorial Candidate of the People’s Democratic party (PDP), and former National Orientation Agency, NOA DG, Dr Mike Omeri Agbo Omeri.

Speaking at its maiden meeting to “sensitize, mobilize and galvanize” support for Dr. Omeri’s bid for the senate, Comr. Dura Emmanuel added that their desire to totally support him was born out of his past records as DG of the NOA.

Comr. Dura Emmanuel explained that the right choice for Nasarawa South Senatorial district in 2027 is mike Omeri Agbo Omeri who before now has not only proven himself as a man who has the interest of the people at heart but is a community inspired individual.

“As the 2027 general elections approaches, the people of Lafia Local Government Area are presented with an opportunity to elect a leader with the experience, vision, and capacity to deliver quality representation at the National Assembly.

“That leader is Dr. Mike Omeri Agbo-Omeri, (Obowu Kha Keana),
Dr. Mike Omeri is a distinguished statesman whose record of public service, leadership, and commitment to national development speaks for itself.

He stressed that throughout the NOA DG period, Mike Omeri demonstrated integrity, competence, and a passion for empowering people and promoting unity.

Dura Emmanuel declared.

“This election is about choosing purposeful leadership over empty promises. It is about giving our district a strong, respected voice in the Senate, one that will protect our interests and pursue opportunities for sustainable development.

“I call on every eligible voter, every youth, every woman, every elder, and every stakeholder to support Dr. Mike Omeri Agbo-Omeri. Let us unite behind a candidate with the experience and dedication to serve all the people of Nasarawa South.

Also speaking, Alhaji Babangoshi Lafia said many people in the District are familiar with Dr. Omeri’s contributions when Nasarawa State was created where he served as a pioneer commissioner in the ministry of Culture, Youths, Sports and Social development during which the Ibrahim Abacha Youth Centre was built.

He recalled that later as Commissioner for Information, he leadership berthed the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service.
Babangoshi added that his vision for the state made the then Military Administrator Abdullahi Ibrahim to deploy him to the State ministry of Works where numerous projects including the Government House, Workers Village, Nasara Estate, the Specialist Hospital among others were executed in addition to the purchase of the Abdullahi Adamu Estate from the Federal government as well as the launch of the State’s transport system “Nasarawa on the Move” noting that his contributions are legendary and that these are just a top of the iceberg.
