Nation Lottery Trust Fund Partners Defence Headquarters for Africa Military Games

The National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF) has committed into an agreement to collaborate with the Nigerian Defence Headquarters towards the forthcoming Africa Military Games, scheduled to take place in Nigeria in November. Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, Chairman of the Sport Organising Committee, led a delegation to the NLTF office to seek partnership.

Marquis highlighted the significant economic impact of the games, estimated to be in multi-billion naira, indicated that and the event is an opportunity for Nigeria to showcase and gain increased international visibility, as well as ensure facilities upgrade for sports.” He commended the NLTF’s new leadership for vision and enthusiasm in driving home the mandate of the Fund.

A press Statement dispatched to TMSnews, signed by the Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary of NLTF on Media & Corporate Communications, Arowolo Solomon Alaba, the Executive Secretary, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju was quoted to have appluded the leadership of Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, for the improvement in national security, while assuring the visiting team of NLTF’s continued partnership with the military, citing the game’s positive economic impact as a compelling reason for the collaboration.

The visiting team was led by Air Vice Marshal AT Marquis and included Major General M Abdullahi, Commander A Umaru, Wing Commander A Mohammed, Captain AS Abdulkadir, Staff Sergeant, among others.

According to release the partnership is aimed at maximizing the event’s potential to benefit the nation and enhance lives of Nigerians, the Africa Military Games are expected to bring together military personnel from across the continent, inorder to promote iunity and friendly competition.
