Four soldiers attached to the Myoung Barracks in the Morocco area of Shomolu in Lagos have been reportedly killed, while some were injured when a suspected drunk driver rammed into the military during a jogging exercise.
The incident TMSnews gathered occurred at the early of Friday morning.
The drunk driver, it was learnt, rammed into the soldiers during their monthly road jogging exercise outside the barracks.
An eyewitness account in the area said the driver of the Toyota vehicle conveying three young men drove recklessly before ramming into the soldiers.
According to the eyewitness, following the accident, the young occupants made attempts to run away but were apprehended and beaten while their vehicle was also vandalized.
One of the young men was said to have also been stabbed.
The eyewitness however added that the incident has caused panic among residents in the area.
