Orogu Led PDP North Central Zone Issues Advise to Party Officials

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the North Central Zone has advised its state Chairmen and other leaders in the zone, to be vigilant and scrutinize party events and activities before engagement in order to prevent sabotage and the possibility of being misled by non- members, especially those that have been expelled by the convention, being the highest organ of the Party.

In a statement signed by Hon Godwin Golching Gotus, the North Central Zonal Organizing Secretary, it said the directive follow a meeting of the North Central Zonal Working Committee held on December 4, 2025, in Lafia, Nasarawa State, headquarters of the zone.

The committee has directed state executive committees to strictly enforce disciplinary regulations and maintain firm control over their respective state organs to prevent actions or omissions that could create disaffection towards the National Working Committee, led by Dr. Tanimu Turaki SAN.

The statement also warns against accepting invitations or taking directives contrary to the party’s interests from unknown persons and advises officials to report any such instances to the appropriate quarters. The party is making progress on matters before the courts, and officials are urged to be mindful of their role in safeguarding the party’s progress and stability.

The PDP has also made it clear that it is willing to reconcile with individuals or groups, but will not compromise on its stance on rebuilding the party ahead of the 2027 elections in line with the vision of its founding fathers, leaders, and supporters.

State chairmen have been reminded to monitor party organs at the ward, local government, and state levels to ensure the party’s rebuilding efforts are not undermined and jeopardized.

The meeting which was Chaired by Acting Zonal Chairman who is also the Zonal Vice Chairman Francis Orogu, was attended by members of the Zonal Working Committee who pledged their loyalty and support to its leadership and the National Workin Committee that emerged from the party’s Ibadan national convention.
