The Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju, has called on Nigerian youths to use the digital space to achieve growth and progress for self and country.
Adeyanju made the call in Abuja while attending a Nigerian Youth Stakeholders Conversation themed “Digital Economy Transition: Pathways to Global Competitiveness and Sustainable Growth.” He commended the organisers and further pledged support for initiatives that promote knowledge among Nigerian youths, which he emphasized, can be harnessed within the potential of the digital space, stating that it empowers youths with numerous perspectives for global opportunities.
Consequently, Adeyanju shared his practical insights on how to utilize phones for remote work, enabling youths to explore flexible and innovative ways to earn a living.
He demonstrated how mobile devices can be used to access various digital tools and platforms, facilitating entrepreneurship, freelancing, and online collaboration.
A press release sent to TMS news and signed by Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary (Media & Corporate Communications) Arowolo Solomon Alaba, Adeyanju was quoted as cautioning against the misuse of the digital space, particularly in spreading fake news and promoting disunity. “Let us use the digital space responsibly and avoid spreading false information that can harm our country and its people.”
He identified various academic courses that can benefit youths and announced a partnership between the National Lottery Trust Fund and the event organizers to support those without technical expertise.
He encouraged Nigerian youths to harness the digital space for unity, growth, and national development.
