You Have Damaged Enough, Please Don’t Add The C/ Service And Our Trad. Institutions To Your List: PDP Chastises Nasarawa APC Government

In what appears like an everyday howling, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Nasarawa State has accused the State government of deliberate attempts to destroy the institutions of the civil service and of the traditional Leaders in the area.

This was raised in a statement issued by the media and publicity committee of the Atiku/Ombugadu Campaign Council in the state, and signed by Dr. Mike Omeri.

The statement said that a desperate trend of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) is being made after several attempts to force electorates to do their bidding was unsuccessful and have resorted to arm twisting having lost grip owing to poor performance.

“It is unfortunate that the desperation of the Nasarawa state APC led administration is targeting to destroy both the civil service and Royal courts since they have failed to make any major difference in the governance of Nasarawa State” saying “we are determined to stop it.” The statement added.

“Gov. Abdullahi A. Sule led government was reported to have called all APC Chieftains and some traditional leaders from their palaces to government House and ordered them to rescue him by join its campaign as mouth pieces to their subjects and villages.”
The statement said “in addition to this ignoble act with the traditional leaders, Union leaders are being prepared to support the demand and allow their members to submit their PVC numbers before payment of next salary as part of moves to forcefully retain Shendam Road and continue on the journey of perdition beyond May, 2023.”

Recall that recently, the PDP raised alarm that the state government plans to pay pensioners N10,000 only in exchage for their PVC, describing such moves as ill intentioned and fraudulent. “We now know the reason for selective, delayed and in most cases, non payment of pensions to the beneficiaries.

In a related development,
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is calling on what it described as “the outgoing APC government to leave our revered Traditional leaders alone and out of politics.

The party said in a release that, “as fathers of the land, they belong to all the people and are fathers to all political parties who should not be unduely influenced, forced, threaten or made to cajole citizens to vote non performers against their consciences”

“If the APC led government can’t in conjunction with the traditional rulers provide the needed good governance, secure lives and property then they shouldn’t be conscripted into becoming enemies of thie people who are determine to vote the APC government out of Governemnt House, Lafia.”

The party further noted that it is pertinent that, the public is made aware and invited to be watchful of the high- breed desperation of the APC which is capable of destroying every stake in the state.

The statement said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is resolute and ready for the 2023 General elections during which its candidates for the presidency Atiku Abubakar and gubernatorial David Ombugadu as well as other elections will triump urging the APC to control its nerves and levers in the face of impending defeat, adding that the party
should note that INEC has vowed to stand by authentic winners this time and not losers who would prefer to go through the back door to power.

The PDP also call on Traditional Rulers in the state to maintain neutrality and the integrity of their offices and strike balances rather than taking sides against their own people who are resolved to return PDP to power to continue with its transformation agenda for wealth creation in Nasarawa State.
